You need proper diet and supplements.
Detailed Answer:
Dr. Hanif warmly Welcomes you to my virtual clinic HCM!
I have carefully worked through your case, and can realize your health worries. Being your physician, I will take care all of your medical concerns.
Take high Iron containing foods. Spinach, Broccoli, avocado, kiwi, almonds, nuts, dry fruits, dried beans, salmon fish etc etc just to name some.
Take Feosol iron supplements, Nascobal and Folvite. It is needed for a time you get normal hemoglobin. Continue taking even 2 months after the hemoglobin is almost normal. It will help resolve your issue.
Where do you have edema, which body part involved and for how long??
Are you a known diabetic and hypertensive?? Have you ever been screened for these two diseases??
Are you on any medications right now??
Have a wonderful time ahead. Hope I answered all of your questions. Let me know if you have any further clinical concerns or doubts. I will be more than happy to get back to you in no time. If satisfied here, please give a generous five star rating and don't forget to close the discussion.
For any disease you have, a timely follow-up after sometime regarding the treatment efficacy and to see any need to change the treatment options is very necessary. Keep a follow up some days after this visit session ends.

Also, you will note my anemia has been determined to be from blood loss. Please note the additional information part of my original question.
You need some blood work too.
Detailed Answer:
Welcome back.
Thanks for mentioning. I have already read all what is written in medications tried. They have not found any bleeding point so I think it may be a problem in the manufacturing of RBCs at the bone marrow stage. Other wise we can easily detect the bleeding point in GIT and urine.
You are non diabetic non-hypertensive and taking no drugs right now for these two diseases. It rules out many differentials as reasons for edema.
Now come the Kidney, Heart, Lungs and Blood that needs testing.
Tests:-
Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (including especially Serum proteins and Kidney function tests).
Urine complete examination.
Echocardiography (heart).
Heart if not properly working, the blood pools back in lower extremities.
If you have less proteins in blood, it may also lead to edema.
If kidneys are not working properly, it leads to loss of proteins and edema.
If Liver isn't making proteins properly, it causes low serum proteins and edema.
In blood, proteins are the reason for keeping the fluids inside blood vessels.
If no reason is found on all above tests, then edema will be due to the partially incompetent valves of the venous system and lymphatic failure.
If you don't get better Hemoglobin levels after 1 month use of medications, we may need a transfusion of blood as a last resort.
Have a wonderful time ahead. Hope I answered all of your questions. Let me know if you have any further clinical concerns or doubts. I will be more than happy to get back to you in no time. If satisfied here, please give a generous five star rating and don't forget to close the discussion.
