Brief Answer:
Really unlikely to be from you.

Detailed Answer:
HI and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this rash and all the inconveniences this has caused you. I have reviewed the images and this is not suggestive of herpes which os a commonly transmitted infection through kissing. This rash is not suggestive of that and may be nothing more than a regular angular stomatitis( inflammation of the corners of the mouth). This is more common in hot and dry areas where people easily get chapped lips. I will recommend that she lubricates often with a lip balm to prevent future episodes. If the fear remains big, then possibly getting a rapid diagnostic test for oral herpes would be recommended to settle your minds both. However, this is very unlikely to be so.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be. Above all, thanks for using our services.

I understand but another doctor wrote me this ... which is which please ?

Thanks for the query to ATD for an opinion,
These are typical cold sores which has developed at the angle of the mouth and likely to occur after oral sex. As she develops the same after coming in contact with you it is suggested that you should get a swab culture test done and rule out any HSV active infection . She should also get herself checked for the same.
You should visit your physician and get yourself tested for the same.
I hope this addresses your concern,
Wishing you good health,
Regards

Brief Answer:
Different words but same context!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for this follow up question.

These answers all point to the fact that this is unlikely to be herpes and if there are any doubts for your you need clarification, a swab to rule out and not confirm herpes would be necessary. This is similar to what i earlier exchanged with you. remember the answer by this expert doesn’t suspect herpes but says it will be necessary to rule it out and not confirm it.

I hope this helps. Let me know what your thoughts are.
