Suggest Treatment For Ankle Sprain

After 2 weeks.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
An ankle sprain grade II takes 3-4 weeks to heal with proper rest. Right now it is too early to put a stress on your ankle. You should wait for at least 2 weeks more before bearing weight on the foot. Then start with physiotherapy. Once you gain strength and the stiffness decreases then you can start walking normally. Avoid the painful movements for next 2 weeks.
I hope this answers your query.

1. take an anti-inflamatory (my dr said only 10 days which im done with).
2. elevate the leg as much as possible.
3. do ice packs?
or you think at this tsage these are not relevant?
Anti inflammatory can be avoided.
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
Anti inflammatory is not needed if there is no pain at rest and there is no visible swelling in the area.
Elevate the leg on two pillows while lying down. This will prevent any swelling in the foot.
Instead of ice packs, you can do a hot compress now. This will increase the blood circulation of the ankle and will help in healing.
You can use an elastic bandage or brace around your ankle for support.
Hope my answer is helpful.

Yes.
Detailed Answer:
The 10% swelling will subside with elevating the leg. You can avoid anti inflammatory and do a hot compress.
