Suggest Treatment For Anorexia, Severe Diarrhea And Abdominal Cramps
I've been really bloated and have very painful abdomen. I gave severe diarhea and I'm seeing red blood and square solid objects in my stools. I'm also getting very hot and clammy then have chills. I am really nauseous but afraid to vomit as I have an ng tube inserted.
In hospital I had refeeding syndrome. My potassium , phosphate and calcium levels were always dropping. I'm a 36 year old female. I'm wondering whether to make an appointment with my dr?
Rather than an appt w/ your dr, go to ER
Detailed Answer:
It sounds like you are quite sick now and possibly have a fever. And with the history of electrolytes dropping, I think you need to be seen at a facility where they can easily test your blood for these such as an ER.
My concern is that you are passing blood, may have a fever (and possibly bacteremia) and a very painful abdomen. It could be the C-diff, in which case you may feel better from having it treated with an antibiotic. In the US, doctors are now also prescribing a particular probiotic which has shown significant efficacy with C-diff called Saccharomyces Boulardii.
Compounding this is the refeeding syndrome and risk of electrolyte imbalance.
So I would not wait but would encourage you to go to a facility where your blood work can be done quickly and you can be evaluated. Don't wait.
I hope this information helps.
