Suggest Treatment For Antral Gastritis And IBS
Question: Hello Doctor,
I have antral gastrits and IBS as shown in the endoscopy and doctor has prescribed me Razo L and Lubowel 8. I am taking this medicine since last one month but still I have pain in lower part and left side of abdomen whole day. I go toilet at least four to five times in day but still Never feel comfortable after going toilet.Whenever I go toilet , stool passes with cramp and pain in stomach. Always feel incomplete evacuating of stool and Always desire to go toilet specially after taking food. I am suffering from this problem since last five years. Pls suggest me best medicine and diet chart , Suffering from very cronic problem, It seems to me some thing is trapped in my left side of abodmen whole day and it forced me to go toilet again and again, but stool don't come out . I have also thyroid problem taking thyronorm tab 50 mg daily.

I understand your concern.
Most important here is to get your thyroid under perfect control. So get TSH done every 3 monthly and dose of Thyroxine to view modified accordingly.
For IBS and Gastritis symptoms, I personally advise following to my patients:
1. To take a combination of Pantoprazole and Levosulpride once a day.
2. To take Medicine like Mebeverine which will give you immense relief.
3. Not to take any pain killers.
4. Not to take alcohol.
5. Take small , frequent meals.
6. Avoid spicy food.
7. Increase fibers in diet.
8. To take Lactulose , whenever you are severely constipated.
I am hopeful that if these measures are followed , you will see improvement in next 3 weeks.

When to take Pantoprazole and Levosulpride and when and how much Mebeverine should I take in a day. Can I take meva -C or Meb SR.(Mebeverine )

This problem is very disappointing. I understand your concern. It takes at least 4-6 weeks to get improvement.
Pantoprazole and Levosulpride should be taken in morning just before the breakfast.
Yes , you can take Meb SR. I prescribe it twice daily. You need to talk to your doctor to prescribe it for you.
You will be fine but you have to stop worrying about the Disease. Stop thinking that you have this problem.
Stress aggravates this problem.

You can take VSL#3. It is a probiotic. I won't suggest you to take Fludac as it is Anti Depressant. It is given in cases of Non specific Acid peptic disease with Somatic disorders.
