Brief Answer:
You need to be investigated.

Detailed Answer:
Dear Mr. XXXXXXX

Thanks for posting your query on HCM.
I appreciate your concern for the pain under the left armpit.

Following details are not given in your history:

Duration of the chest pain?
Is it associated with difficulty in breathing, sweating, palpitation, etc.
Does the pain increase on exertion?
Do you have any other illness apart from anxiety and high BP?
Any history of recent trauma or lifting heavy objects with left hand>

I am of the opinion that, first and the fore most, you should be examined by a doctor to rule out heart disease by lab tests like ECG, etc.

So, I would advice you to get examined first to rule out any heart problem like angina, etc.
Other possibilities include acidity related gastritis, muscle sprain, pleuritic chest pain, etc.

Hope my suggestion could be useful in detecting the possible cause of your present problem.

Best regards.

Brief Answer:
Stress induced stomach upset.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome back.
Thanks for your query.

If you do not have such symptoms and with normal ECG, it appears that you have acidity related stomach issues due to stress.

It is referred to as gastroesophageal reflux disease.
PPI drugs like Omeprazole taken one hour before breakfast once daily for a period of 4 - 6 weeks will be effective in treating the acidity related problems.
Besides you must avoid stress, avoid eating hot and spicy foods in the dinner, there should be at least 3 hours interval between your dinner and going to bed, avoid alcohol, take yoghurt or milk at night.

Hope these suggestions would be useful to you in getting relief from acidity related stomach problem.

Wishing you a very good health.
Regards.

Brief Answer:
PPI drugs are effective in treating acidity related stomach problem

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome back to HCM.

PPI drugs are very effective in suppressing the acidity in the stomach.
Besides, you must follow the dietary modifications as suggested before.

Regarding the role of Magnessium and calcium in the regulation of heart thythm:

Magnesium is essential for the normal functioning of the heart. Increased dietary intake of magnessium is associated with a lower risk of sudden cardiac death. Magnesium helps maintain a normal heart rhythm and is sometimes given intravenously (IV) in the hospital to reduce the chance of atrial fibrillation and cardiac arrhythmia (irregular heartbeat).

Magnesium and calcium together are essentially required for your heart functions properly. If you have a problem related to the rhythm of your heart, it should be properly evaluated by a cardiologist like ECG, estimation of serum electrolytes like potassium, magnessium and calcium to ascertain the cause of arrhythmia., talk to your doctor before taking magnesium supplements.

Hope this answers your query.
Wishing you a very good health.
