Suggest Treatment For Anxiety And Stress

However, what seems to be left and stubborn is an extreme sensitivity to stress and the fact that my head very often feels full, overwhelmed, dead inside and on the verge of collapse! And that creates all sorts of weird stmptoms like eye tricks, nausea, fear and weird thinking.
Will this resolve in time as I keep living my life? Im not feeling sad or helpless or hopeless, just a bit frustrated by these stubborn feelings. My life otherwise is pretty great! I guess my one fear is that it will just be like this forever even though i know it just feels like chronic stress.
Any suggestions? Should i have any tests done?
Do you recognize the things i said?
They are indicative of chronic anxiety

Hello,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.
I read your query and understand your concerns.
In my opinion you need to continue current strategies as they are helping you to a great extent and you have much better quality of life in compare to three months ago.
If you are still on zoloft/any other antidepressant in my opinion it need to be continued as advised by your doctor.
In addition there is great need for having optimistic attitude. If we proceed with thinking that things are not going to change, there is high possibility that they are not going to change. This happens because our thinking pattern affects our stress and further addition/reduction of stress.
I also like to make it clear that above described symptoms are classically related to stress and no further testing is required.
I hope this helps you.
Feel free to contact me if you have more questions.
Thanks and regards.

I figured... its always worse in the afternoon and the symptoms always get worse when trying to relax and especially after activity. Its not uncommon for my head to hurt/feel internal trembling and other weird sensations
How long do you think it will take for my brain to heal??
It feels like it just needs to build resilience. .
Can you tell me what you are doing to control it

Hello,
Thanks for follow up.
Generally it takes upto three months to have maximal response to both medications as well as psychological approaches.
I will request you to provide details of interventions that you are making currently.
Thanks and regards.

I mostly just try to get sleep every night and i live my life as normal as possible and when i feel symptoms (like right now im on a train and my head feels weird and im having waves of nausea... which i totally recognoze as a stressed brain) i just remind myself its just uncomfortable and then i move on as best as i can.
I will also take long showers and attempt some meditation but not formally .
I think it is not sufficient

Hello,
Thanks for follow up.
First of all I like to inform you that 25 mg zoloft is equal to placebo and no effects are attached to it. In my opinion either stop it completely or take a effective dose which ranges from 50-200 mg per day. I understand that you do not want to increase zoloft but you need to understand that once you have control of symptoms with help of medications you can have better management and medication can be tapered off.
Regarding your question about the likely duration I feel the behavioral intervention is inadequate and it is recommended to include CBT with current intervention. In my opinion this will help you in better form in next 8-12 weeks.
I hope this answers you.
If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.

Hello,
Thanks for follow up.
It may not be life taking but it causes significant impairment in quality of life. In addition the chronic suffering caused by it never less if we take stock of the problems caused by it.
Regarding the cause it is not exactly known but it is speculated to be due to neurotransmitter imbalance in certain area of brain.
I hope this helps you further.
Thanks and regards.
