Question: sir.i suffer from anxiety and not feel happy .kindly suggest some medicine for happy mood and free from anxiety.also pl note that i am taking high bp medine and for the time being cholestoral and mild sgot and sgpt

Thanks for writing to us.

You had past history of anxiety problem and take depaxil 12.5 cr (Paroxetine) and zapiz 0.25 clonazepam) at that time. These are good medicines for depression with anxiety features.

Treatment guidelines suggest that if patient had response to some medicines in past and recurrent of problem is there, same medicines should be restarted first.Even if you did not have past history, I would like to go with same medicines if I were your treating doctor.

So I will start you on Depaxil Cr 12.5 at night and zapiz 0.25 1 in the morning and one in the noon and 2 at night for sleep if sleep disturbance is there. If you feel sedation with 0.25 in daytime, the dose can be halved. Please discuss about this option with your treating doctor.

Above medicines are not going to affect your blood pressure, cholesterol and sgot,sgpt in these doses. Rather decrease in anxiety features will help you to control blood pressure, cholesterol, sgot and sgpt.
