Suggest Treatment For Anxiety
Question: My partner and I have had a conversation recently and we have agreed that if the mental health professionals who support me saw me and/or had contact with me as much as my partner has contact with me there would b more of a chance they would see and therefore realise how bad I can b on my bad days and therefore they would then realise that I need more support than just seeing someone at either end of the week. I have been on Mirtazapine 45mg from 30mg for about a month now and i can't say there has actually been any improvement. After they made the increase I had a mental health nurse admit that there was a chance that having been increased on this medication I would suffer more severe anxiety. I think this might have happened. 3 days in the last week I've not left the house because my anxiety levels have prevented me from even getting anywhere near the door.

Hello, and thanks for your question.
It is imperative that you visit a doctor as soon as possible. You are in need of help to decrease your anxiety, but the only way to do this is to visit your doctor. Avoiding them is not the solution -- it will just make things worse.
It is likely that mirtazapine is not working for you and another medication such as a MAO inhibitor should be tried. But this needs to be discussed in-person with your doctor. I know you can do it.
