Suggest Treatment For Anxiety
Question: I have such severe anxiety, 24 hours a day, that I am incapacitated by it. NO medications have helped and I've been
told recently to try Seroquel rx. I was on the regular Seroquel years ago, but it did not help anxiety, and the side effects
were very bad. My question is: is the rx chemically different in some way, that it COULD help this severe form of anxiety without such intense side effects? Also, does it interact with Xanax, because Xanax is the ONLY thing that
gives me any relief, and not much relief, but I would hate to have to stop because of an interaction of some sort?
PLEASE HELP ME I'M DESPERATE!!!!! Thank you

The drug seroquel is a different formulation compared to usual antianxiety / antidepressant drugs. It is preffered now a days in severe , difficult to manage anxiety - by adding it to the existing meds or using it alone. Its most common side effect is sedation : that too also reduces with time.
Xanax can be continued with it, but taking preacutions while driving- as reflexes might become slow due to additive effect of sedation/ relaxation.
You have mentioned that nothing helps in your anxiety- what is the dosage of seroquel are you taking? and do you take any drug of abuse? If so, please stop it as this might be hindring the drug response.
