Suggest Treatment For Arrhythmia
Question: I am experiencing what feel like nervousness/butterflies in the heart area and this keeps me awake at night. Also had a funNY feeling in my heart like flutterings and soreness in chest area should I be concerned
Brief Answer:
you should
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
the answer is that you should because it could be an arrhythmia. You can find out by visiting a cardiologist and doing an electrocardiogram (ECG). The ECG will prove ongoing arrhythmias. If it's negative then an arrhythmia cannot be 100% excluded. Holter monitoring is a good way to detect arrhythmias that come and go. In such cases basic blood tests are also helpful. Testing for hematocrit, electrolytes, urea, creatinine, thyroid hormones, etc is important.
Sometimes it's just anxiety, but you should first exclude the more serious causes.
I hope it helps!
Kind regards!
