Suggest Treatment For Arthritis And Stiffness All Over The Body

Question: I have stiffness over my entire body which came on quite suddenly. It does not go away unless I take an anti inflammatory and even then it doesn't go away entirely. I am 75 yrs old. X-rays show very little arthritis. I am waiting for blood test results. Email XXXXXXXXXX @XXXXXX.com. Thank you!
Brief Answer:
Please provide some more information

Hello,
Thank you for using HCM to post your question.
I read carefully your question and I understand your concern.
Can you explain what you mean by stiffness in your body? Is there any joint in particular that has pain or that has the stiffness? Is it bilateral? Any idea what triggers it? Are you on activity when it happens, or at rest? How much does it last?
If all the tests result normal it may be an anxiety symptom. But let me know the needed information, so we can rule out organic problems first.
Looking forward to your follow up question.

It started in my upper arms and shoulders also in my hips and thighs. Then it went across my collarbone and neck. I couldn't lift my arms above my shoulders and could hardly lift my legs to walk. I attend Cutves for exercise and thought maybe it came from that because they got new equipment with more resistance but it didn't go away. It feels muscular but my knee and elbow joints are stiff. I have pain and stiffness until I take my anti inflammatory for pain. It's worse when I am not active. It's very bad in the morning after sleeping.
Brief Answer:
More likely muscular
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
Thank you for the follow-up question.
What you are describing seems like muscular to me too. The fact that it gets better after using the painkiller proves that. Also, it seems likely that that has happened because of the new muscular regime at the place where you exercise.
I would recommend to not overuse your joints for 2 weeks at least. The healing will be more delayed if you continue to do it. Be active, but don't exercise hard. Also keep taking the painkiller regularly for 1-2 weeks, so it will help not only with the pain, but also with the inflammation that has happened.
I hope this is helpful.
