Suggest Treatment For Asthma And Shortness Of Breath
Inhaler is the best medicine for that condition.
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX
Thanks for asking your query to us.I had understand your query as well the concern.
Your main question is regarding what is the right medicine for asthma and short breath during exertion.??
Mostly during exercise there is increased demand of oxygen by the tissues. So to fulfill that demand lungs has to work more. But in case of asthma there is narrowing of wind pipe (Tracheobronchial tree, 2 & 3rd generation). Hence less oxygen reach to the lungs and you fell breathless while doing exercise or any exertion.
So for those conditions you need something which can cause dilatation of wind pipe.For that we had got bonchodilators.This you can take in the form of oral medicine or inhalers. As per your history it seems you require inhaler. So there are many inhalers available like;
1) Deriphyllin inhaler
2)Salbutamol inhaler etc.
I usually prescribe my patients Deriphyllin Inhaler 2 puffs at the time of
breathlessness. IT may also help you, but I will advice you before taking any action consult your treating doctor once.
Along with this you do moderate exercise daily, take balanced diet, avoid allergens if you are allergic to anything and be on your regular medicines.
Hope I have answered your query & it will help you.
Please feel free to write me back if any doubt or you want further more information regarding this.
Wish you speedy recovery and good health.
Kind regards,
Thanks.
You have mild variety of asthma.
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX
Thanks for asking me again.Hope I will be able to explain you better.
As per your clinical history and condition, in my opinion you have mild variety of asthma, as it comes only during exertion or climbing steps.
Bronchial Asthma has been categorized into the following types:-
1.Mild variety (seasonal, occasional,exertional)
2.Moderate variety (seasonal, occasional, severe exertional + 3-4 times in month, severity is not much to hamper day to day activity)
3.Severe variety (STATUS ASTHMATICUS) (here patient is breathlessness at rest, hamper of day to day activity, individual has to get admitted in hospital, requires nebulisation).
Since you are having breathlessness only on exertion so you can be categorized into mild variety of asthma.
As per your second query I would like to give you some simple tips which will help you to keep your asthma under control. These are as follows:
