Suggest Treatment For Bacterial Infection Of The Eyes
Question: I was told I could use two prescription eye medications one right after another but my animal reacted really badly as if his eyes were burning or hurting and he is still apparently in pain several hours later. I gave him Neomycin and Polymyxin B sulfates and Dexamethasone in the one bottle, and followed it with Terramycin as a gel These were prescriptions from the animal doctor.
I know you are a "people doctor" but can you please have pity on me and only tell me if I may have hurt my animal's eyes? Thank you so much.

If he got ulcerated bacterial infection of the eyes, it means his eyes are really bad. Ulcers are always very painful.
When you applied the eye meds, they have passed into the ulcers giving him pain. That is temporary. He will be fine in a couple of hours.
Give paracetamol to ease the pain.
Next time you apply the eye meds, he will be more calm and won't react as the first time.
