Suggest Treatment For Behavioral Problems While Having Dementia
Question: MY AUNT HAS DEMENTIA, IT WAS VERY MILD UNTIL SHE FELL AND BROKE HER LEG RIGHT BELOW HER HIP. aFTER WE CHECKED HER IN TO A CARE FACILITY SHE HAS BECOME VIOLENT WITH THE STAFF, BUT NOT THE FAMILY. SHE ACTS LIKE A SPOILED TWO YEAR OLD WHO ISN'T GETTING HER WAY. SHE CONSTANTLY WANTS ONE ON ONE ATTENTION. IF SHE CAN CONTROL HER BEHAVIOR WITH FAMILY, WHY THE ANGER WITH THE CAREGIVER?

I have noted your aunt's clinical details. People with dementia take a bit longer and find it more difficult to adjust with newer people and new surroundings. However, once they get used, then, behaviour would also improve.
The dose of quetiapine (seroquel) may be increased if needed to calm her.
