Suggest Treatment For Big Canker Sore On The Inside Of Lower Lip

Question: Hello Doctor.
I have a big canker sore on the inside of my lower lip. The pain goes out of bounds when I eat anything. If I place/press it with my finger, I can feel my heartbeat at that point. Why does that hppen ? I know that there is no cure for canker sore but if you can suggest anything that can lessen my pain, it would be a great respite for me.

Actually canker sores are the lesion of mouth which occur because of break in continuity of the mucosa of mouth, that is why they are so painful in eating.
And because of this break only you feel the heartbeat, as nerve become prominent.

You can go for application of topical anesthetic gel on the sore before having food, as it will give you relief while eating. Even you can start with some multivitamins to improve your immunity and reduce canker sores.

Thanks for your help.
Actually I am a fitness freak. I always eat home cooked food and all possible fruits and vegetables. Still I get canker sores often I,e, one in every 2-3 months.
I live a very healthy and stress free life and no other illness at all.
Please let me know the root cause of getting this canker sore so that I can work upon it to prevent its occurrence for ever.

Actually canker sores are also called as apthous ulcers of mouth. The major cause of this is immunity.
Whereas stress, trauma, gastric problem and blood disorder are precipating factors for it, so to prevent it you have to go for immunemodulators like levamisol, but before starting it better once you visit a good oral medicine specialist, as they are the one who can examine and properly treat them.
