bipolar mood disorder with IBD
Detailed Answer:
thanks for giving such a clear and nice collaborative history you are very intellect person.
sorry to hear that you are suffering a lot by this situation.
1. your husband is having mood swings with irritable bowel syndrome.
IBS is very common in people who are having bipolar disorder. do not worry it is easily treatable.
2. drugs like valproate, SSRI'S, loperamide, fiber diet, and some antispasmodic drugs will cure him.
3. he is having lost insight, means unaware of illness and do not want to visit doctor.
you can visit psychiatrist to prescribe mood stabilizer drugs. you can give him without knowing of him initially.
after getting insight go for counselling and further treatment.
his problem is easily treatable so do not worry.
hope my answer helped you.
take care.
if you are having more queries you can ask freely.
i wish you a good health and happy marriage life.
its not your husband fault actually his illness made him to behave like this. so cooperate with him. you are doing already a lot. he will be fine soon.
