Hemmorhoids, Diet changes and Banding
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX Thanks for coming to HealthCareMagic. I have gone through your medical history in detail. From what I can ascertain, you are most likely suffering from "Hemorrhoids", commonly known as "Piles".
Piles are nothing but weakened and bloated veins that are present in and around the skin of the anus. The veins get filled with blood and can burst causing the bleeding you have noted.
Piles are normally a symptom of a larger issue of chronic constipation. Most of the time, people who do not get enough fiber in their diet will start developing piles. Also those who do not drink enough plain water will have the same issue. In general, the more you have to strain to move your bowels, the more likely you will develop piles. There are other causes too, but the dietary and hydration issues are the most common.
As a start, I would suggest you look at your diet in detail and try and increase the amount of green leafy vegetables and fiber that you are consuming daily. At the same time, try and increase the amount of PLAIN water you drink daily. As a rule of thumb, i recommend that a healthy person at your age drink enough water so that they have to urinate at least 3 times a day.
The problem should resolve in time given these interventions. If the piles become very painful or do not resolve then you will eventually need to visit a good Proctologist or General Surgeon or Gastroenterologist. Anyone with training in those three specialties should be able to examine you and see if the piles need a surgical cure.
Occasionally a proctologist will be able to do a special procedure called 'Banding' where small rubber bands are applied to the piles and they are shrunken like that. Another therapy is to inject a medication into the piles and they shrink naturally.
This is what I think of the situation and what I think will help. If you have any queries feel free to follow-up. I suggest you start the diet modification as soon as you can. You will notice an improvement soon.

thanks for the response.
Well, i drink more than 5 litres of water in a day. Urinate 3 times? I think I urinate more than 10 times a day. Infact the water i consumes does not stay in my body for more than 20 to 30 mins. Each time i urinate, i drink lots of water [either before or after].
I have recently relocated to another country. So my food habits have changes. I start my day with half to one litre of water. Yes, i feeling constipated. I understand that the fibre rich food is something i should eat. Can you suggest some vegetables which can be eaten raw that can help my situation? As i cant cook, i can definitely bridge the gap with fruits and vegetables that can be eaten in salads.
Piles, the least expected!!! as i dont have history in the family of this. Is beer or whiskey an aggrevator for this?
Water intake adequate, fiber, alcohol use
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for following up. So you've demonstrated that you drink more than enough water. So I'm not worried about that now. When it comes to fiber intake, any green leafy vegetable will do. When it comes to being eaten raw, i suppose cucumbers would help there. We have a dietician team that i think you should approach to discuss this in more detail.
Lastly, alcohol, beer and whiskey etc in general are going to cause a bit of constipation, as alcohol slows down the movement of the bowel. But in the case of beer, this is ofset a bit as beer is an osmotic agent and pulls water into the bowel.
I hope this helps, let me know what you are thinking.

Apologies for delay
Detailed Answer:
Hi, I'm sorry for the delay in responding to you, have not been keeping well myself.
The injury or cut that you have described is textbook for what we call an anal fissure. It is proof positive associated with constipation. If you increase the fibre content of your diet, that will absorb the water in the bowel and soften the stool, that will heal up the fissure.
If it DOES NOT heal within a month, then that is worrying and you may need to see a proctologist. They will have to put you on muscle relaxant medication and do an exam to find out the cause of the fissure. But lets not borrow trouble. First manage the constipation issue, my belief is that the fissure will heal on its own then. Most do.
I hope this helps.
