Suggest Treatment For Blister On Tongue
Question: I have a blister looking bump on my tongue that won't go away and seems to only get bigger
Brief Answer:
see doctor
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
This may be nothing serious, but if it has been there for longer than a few weeks and is getting bigger then it could be something that needs to be removed.
First see your primary care doctor then you may need a referral to ENT. If you have used any type of tobacco product then the chance of cancer goes up so do not ignore this and see your doctor as soon as possible.
I will be away from the computer for several hours this morning but will answer any questions you leave for me as soon as I am back at home.
Regards,

What could it be? I don't use tobacco, it only hurts when I mess with with my teeth
Brief Answer:
mucous cyst
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
If you have never used tobacco products regularly it is probably something benign. It sounds most like a mucous cyst, also called a mucocele. These are not cancer but can be very annoying if they are large. See your doctor if it does not resolve
