Suggest Treatment For Blisters And Rash In Upper Thighs
it could be intertrigo
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
From the description it seems either you are having severe case of frictional intertrigo( chafing) or candidal intertrigo.
In such cases, the ideal treatment would be
dusting the area with antifungal powder multiple times in a day
Applying a combination of antibiotic steroid antifungal cream like mixing lotrimin (antifungal cream) with fluticasone( steroid) and fusidic acid/neosporin( antibiotic) and then using it twice daily over affected area.
Avoid wearing too tight or thick clothes( like denims)
Avoid wearing synthetic underclothes, wear cotton.
In case if you are overweight, please reduce your weight too.
Once lesions heal, continue with antifungal dusting powder to prevent further chafing.
Posting a pic would help me in confirming the diagnosis and making changes in my suggested treatment plan if required.
Hope this helped.
Take care
it is frictional intertrigo
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I have seen the attached pic.
It is frictional intertrigo or chafing of skin as you have mentioned.
Excessive sweating and friction causes intertrigo. Walking a long distance, tight clothes/denims, excessive weight contributes to it.
Treatment remains the same that I have mentioned in my previous post.
Jock itch or tinea cruris is ringworm of groins and is always caused by fungus of dermatophyte group. Intertrigo can be frictional, bacterial or due to yeast( type of fungus). It wasn't jock itch that led me to diagnose it as intertrigo. Your symptoms, attached pic and frequent walking schedule pin pointed towards diagnosis.
Hope this helped.
Take care
