Brief Answer:
Diabetes/blisters

Detailed Answer:
Sorry to learn about your husband's leg blisters.

People with diabetes in general tend to be more prone to delayed wound healing and infections, particularly when the glucose levels are not well controlled. Many individuals with diabetes also have poor circulation in the legs that worsens the problem. Further, diabetics often have 'Neuropathy' ie the nerves are damaged and sometimes the protective sensation is lost.

Now I see your husband had knee surgery following which the blisters occured.

When a patient comes to my practice with such a condition, I refer them to a general surgeon. Even the surgeon who operated the knee should be able to help.

It is important to closely monitor the blisters and control the diabetes/ blood pressure / cholesterol well, in addition to following up regularly with a surgeon to ensure complete healing.
Note: For further follow-up, discuss your blood glucose reports with our diabetologist. Click here.
