Suggest Treatment For Bloating And Abdominal Pain

Question: I have been to doctors with symptoms of bloating, abdominal pain, gas, dry mouth and dry skin. They do not seem to be able to diagnose what I have. They tested my digestive system and took a breath test for bacteria which were both negative. I have always ( for over 30 years) been told I have IBS, but now the bloating is constant. Has been for 5 weeks. No relief in site. What other illness could these symptoms be indicative of? The only medication that has ever relieved my bloating is Alli which is an over the counter form of Xenical . Active ingredient, Orlistat. It is supposed to be for obesity, which is not my problem, but for some reason it helped. I cannot get Alli any more. It is temporarily off the market.
Brief Answer:
Causes to abdominal bloating...
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Alli (Orlistat) works by inhibiting the function of pancretic enzymes to dissolve food's fats. Therefore, they get off the feces without undergoing further changes.
First, you should diagnose what is causing bloating:
- foods/drinks you consume?
- cholecyst problems: sludge, inflammation, stones?
- intestinal candida infection
- stomach hyperacidity
I advise to run:
- examination of stool for ova/parasites
- culture of feces
- abdominal ultrasound
I also advise to:
- eat often and small portions
- chew up slowly, do not rush
- use simethicone
- take probiotics
Wish fast recovery!
