Brief Answer:
probiotics necessary

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking.
I am Dr. Prakash HM and I will be answering your query.

Based on your query, my opinion is as follows:

1. Abdominal distention due to gas is mainly due to altered commensal bacteria, which is causing increased gas production. Additionally recent increased fiber diet, not from solible fruits and vegetables will be causing it.

2. You need to
A. Avoid ingestion of air during food. Avoid talking during food and eat as early as possible and not slowly as more air will go inside. If its ingested air, gasx would be helpful.
B. Gastritis, if any, you will need to take proton pump inhibitors like pantoprazole. It will reduce acidity and gas formation.
C. Probiotics to replace gas producing bacteria, will be helpful. Week time necessary for improvement.
D. Soluble fiber diet from fruits, vegetables along with good amount of fluids.
E. Regular good sleep and moderate exercises.

Avoid food which increases gas. Improvement cannot be seen within a day. Within a week, you will notice improvement.

Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
