Suggest Treatment For Bloating, Nausea And Frequent Urination

I am avoiding spicy, buttery, and lactose but I still get it. GasX helps but only marginally, I take 2 nexium 30 min before Brkfst and dinner. It helps but I still suffer several times a week. My stomach endoscopy was normal, and I am scheduled for a colonoscopy- I don't think they will find anything.
Can you make some suggestions?
Hello, Need not worry.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for the query.
I understand your concern.
You are possibly suffering from dyspepsia and irritable bowel syndrome.
Need to understand that these diseases are directly related to lifestyle, diet pattern, medications you take and physical activity too.
Lifestyle modification will help you.
1) Eating on time
2) Taking adequate sleep
3) Regular walking
4) Avoiding sleep 2 hours after meals
5) Cutting down on stress and anxiety
6) Ensuring adequate water intake. Water should be clean.
Can try adding domperidone 10 mg thrice a day in addition to neksium before meals after consulting your gastroenterologist which will help in reducing bloat and is easily available over the counter.
Morphine is known to upset stomach too. Can try reducing the dose and adding to it milder analgesics like paracetamol partially which is relatively safe and easily tolerated.
In addition may need to increase the dose of escitalopram that you are already taking after consulting your doctor which will help to modulate your spine pain and abdominal symptoms too.
Getting some basic tests like doing complete blood count, thyroid function test, vitamin D levels, stool examination will help (if not done earlier).
All this will help you to control symptoms in long run too.
Hope this answers your query.
Wish you a speedy recovery.
Happy to help.

Also my extensive labs are all normal except 2 ER visits I had low potassium.
( no explanation) also my blood pressure spikes when I am at worst.
I was taking propanalol 3x/day prescribed for my essential tremor.
( I would shake badly- couldn't sip a teacup. My voice was so erratic I had trouble speaking)
Anyway I stopped that medicine 3 days ago and it "appears" to be working. I am feeling much better now but eating only baked chicken rice chicken soup oatmeal and rice pudding.
Do you really think I ave IBS.?

Hello
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for the query.
Yes can contact your psychiatrist as IBS is related to depression too, managing one will help the other.
Yes I think you have IBS.
Can try following the suggestions by me.
There is no specific test to diagnose IBS, its a clinical diagnosis.
Breath test is worth doing too.
Can continue propranolol if its helps in controlling your symptoms too after consulting your neurologist or physician.
Hope this answers your query.
Best wishes.
Wish you a speedy recovery.

Am I constipated? Should I take a Miralax dose for 2-3 days like I usually do?
(I am afraid it will kick off the IBS symptoms again)
My lower back pain has gotten much worse last 2 days. Bu t I maintain the same morphine dose ( 30mg time release 3/day-every 8 hours, then typically a 15 mg fast acting between the 30mg doses). Is the morphine drying me out?
Should I try Miralax? Or what do you recommend?
Hello
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for the query.
Sorry for delay in answering.
Well morphine is known to cause drying of stools hence causes constipation.
Can continue miralax in divided doses to ensure one bowel movement a day.
You need to consider a neurologist or pain management specialists to ensure reduction in dose of morphine that you are taking.
Ensure adequate water and fiber intake to reduce constipation. Hope this answers your query.
Best wishes.
