Suggest Treatment For Blood Blister On The Tongue
Question: I wake up with a blood full buster on the side of my tongue. How can I treat this?

This would be called a lingual hematoma.
If it is expanding and affecting your ability to breath in any way (this can occur in some persons), then you need to seek medical care as soon as possible.
In that case treatment would involve ensuring that your airways remain open, discontinuation of any medication that may be contributing (aspirin or anticoagulants) and possibly surgical incision.
If it is not expanding or affecting your breathing then treatment would involve: (1) ice compression to help reduce the swelling
(2)avoiding any further trauma to the area eg- hard foods, biting tongue
(3)speak to your doctor about discontinuing any mediation that may cause a problem eg aspirin or any anticoagulants
Do not try to burst because you may induce infection and also worsen trauma to the area.Normally they break down on their own within days (2 to 3).
