Suggest Treatment For Blood Spots On The Inner Labia After Waxing
Question: I just did an at home wax and ripped my inner labia. Skin didn't come off on the wax but the force of the pull I guess tore the skin open from tension. I'm not in serious pain, but it did bleed and is about an inch long and 3mm across when I pulled it open to see the damage. The bleeding isn't severe or dripping but there is still wet blood down there and it's been about an hour. I'm absolutely embarrassed and mortified. I am freaking out and don't know what to do, I can't go to a clinic because I don't have insurance or money. Will it heal on its own? How long will it take? What should I do? Triple antibiotic ointment?

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.
I am so sorry to hear about this ripped skin. Best way to access the injury and propose a personalized and helpful plan is to review the lesions. This way, your response would be personalized and helpful. For now, cleanse only with a Betadine solution to keep clean of any possible germs.

Thank you for your speedy reply. I've attached some images to my report for you to see- I don't currently have any Betadine but I can go out later today or tomorrow to look for some. I have triple antibiotic ointment on the laceration right now- will that be harmful or helpful to my situation? I'm scheduled to go jetskiing tomorrow, but don't want to injure it more or get saltwater in the area. Would ocean water potentially cause infection?
Look forward to hearing back,

Brief Answer:
Salt water would rather be helpful!
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Salt water is actually used in cleansing in the absence of betadine. There is no need limiting your jetskiing tomorrow. Carry on as normal and simply cleanse often with salt water or an antiseptic such as betadine and that is it. Healing would be sure and within 5-7days.
I wish you well.
