Brief Answer:
Bad body odor

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns. That smell is very specific.

Smell of dead rat/Mousy odor from body can actually be from your breath as in certain liver disorder (e.g Cirrhosis of Liver with decompensation)due to excretion of mercaptans in breath as methyl mercaptan derived from methionine escapes demethylation due to impaired liver function.

Some have described it as smell of freshly opened corpse of mouse or ammoniacal smell in breath.

There is no other medical condition which can cause dead rat smell from your body.

Alternatively, though there is very little chance of this, you might be having olfactory hallucination which can occur in temporal lobe seizure or psycho motor epilepsy. But lets not worry bout that till the more obvious stuff has been ruled out.
You can go for Liver function tests and let me know the reports.

Atrophic rhinitis can emanate foul smell from an individual to the surrounding but dead rat smell has not been reported in my experience.

Sometimes certain medications / drugs are excreted through sweat/perspiration and the smell of the drug can be unpleasant to others close by. Is there any history of medication / drug intake for any other medical condition?

Hi,

Since you have drinking history, you can go for liver function tests. Also see a dentist if there is any collection under the gum as anaerobic infection can cause unpleasant smell.
