Suggest Treatment For Body Pain, Mild Fever And Cough Followed By Chest Pain
Question: I have had body aches, fatigue, cough, low grade fever for a few days. The cough is getting worse and when I cough my throat and chest are starting to hurt. I am starting to wheeze and its harder to take a deep breath as well. Although the body aches are decreasing, the other symptoms are getting more concerning. Wondering whether I should go to the doctor. Also, if it's the flu running its course, when is it safe to go back to work. Iam a teacher.

So you should definitely go to pulmonologist and get done clinical examination of respiratory system and PFT (Pulmonary Function Test).
PFT will also tell you about severity of the disease and treatment of bronchitis is based on severity only.
You may need inhaled bronchodilators and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS).
Usual time for recovery is 1-2 weeks. So you can go back two your work after 1-2 weeks (after full recovery).
So consult pulmonologist and discuss all these.
