Dear Ms,

Preparation H is a steroid based cream and basically used for piles. It is not advisable to apply steroid based preparation over boil.
Local application of antibiotic ointment along with oral anti-inflammatory drug will be preferred and recommended option. Do get back to me with clinical photograph for further assessment.
