Suggest Treatment For Boil On Left Testicle

Question: I have a marble sized boil near my left testicle that I have only noticed a couple of days ago. I have had no recent sexual contact but fearing the worst. Could it be anything else but cancerous or is that what it is?

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query.
You might have developed furuncle a bacterial infection.
Your symptoms are suggestive of that.
Can you please upload a photograph of the involved area.
This will help me in giving a closer diagnosis and a better line of management.
Waiting for your response.
Thank you.

I would rather not as I can't upload a picture anyhow. Would it make any difference if I told you its next to the split of my leg?
Brief Answer:
course of antibiotics
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the follow up.
Your symptoms are suggestive of furuncle as I mentioned earlier.
I treat such cases with a course of oral antibiotics like amoxycillin and a topical antibacterial cream like mupirocine.
It gives excellent response within a week.
You can try this in consultation with your doctor.
Let me know if you have any other doubts.
Thank you.
