Question: I have a bone spur on the bottom of my heel. It's excrutiating even when I'm sitting down sometimes. I got a cortizone shot about a month ago that completely missed the mark. I'm planning on going skiing soon. What can I do? and should I get it removed? (I also have plantar faci)

Brief Answer:
Go for surgery.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have read your query.

I don't allow my patients to skiing if they have heel spur or plantar faciitis till it get cured.

Since you have tried all modalities, only option left for you is surgery.

So go for surgery, then for skiing.

It will take about 2 weeks to go for skiing after surgery.

I hope it helps.

Thanks,
