Suggest Treatment For Brain Tumour
I am getting a strange feeling in my body. It starts in the mouth. Randomly I get a feeling maybe like I have just swallowed pepto bismol. This could be coming from my sinuses , can't really determine. But it is in my mouth , immediately fades away. As it fades I get a cold chilly feeling on the left side of my body from shoulder to the feet. As this chill fades away I get a hot feeling on the left of side of face especially surrounding the ear which immediately fades away. These strange feeling occurs about every 45 to 60mins. I am very concerned about what's going on. I first got this taste upon swallowing a protein shake that had been in refrig for at least 24 hrs. When I took one swallow I notice that it had not gotten cold at all. As a matter of fact it was hot. My mouth filled with thisPepto bismol taste or feeling I threw the remaining in the trash. About three days later I started getting these feelings that I described above continuously. This has been going on for a month now. Saw doctor and she treated me for sinus infection. This has not helped

There is no abdomen pain. The only urinary discomfort is frequently which was present before the strange symptoms. I would say ño to nausea and definitely no vomiting.

Brief Answer:
Ultrasound abdomen scan is required
Detailed Answer:
Hello Madam.
Considering your latest responses , there seem to be no immediate threat or dysfunction to your body systems.
All you require is a thorough screening if your renal system for symptoms of urinary discomfort.
For this , I suggest an ultrasound abdomen and pelvis with Complete Urine Examination.
Further management if any is largely based on test results.
Thank you.

From this health problem I have been diagnosed with a tumor on the brain. just wondering what standard procedures follows this diagnosis
MRI of the brain
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
It is unfortunate you were diagnosed with tumor of the brain. Was an MRI of the brain done? It is a scan which would be taken inside a huge chamber. After observing and reading the scan films they can see a abnormal growth in the brain.
Yes brain tumors are sometimes peculiar in their presentation, like the dysguesia in your case. The taste alters, the smell alters when the tumor starts in the sensory cortex of these sensations in the brain.
However you should try for the best treatment available for the tumor. Many tumors are thankfully removable. If this tumors (details you had not given) is removable or destroyable you should get this done without delay.
I would be able to comment further if you can reveal the details of the scan.
FINDINGS:
Tthe contrasted images show a focus of abnormal enhancement involving a right insular ribbon which measures 1.2 cm. There is brisk edema adjacent to this focus of enhancement involving the right insular ribbon and extending to the right medial temporal lobe. Given the overall appearance and edema pattern a metastic focus is suspected and less likely primary neoplasm. The diffusion weighted sequence shows some degree of increased signal in this region which is subtle . ADC map shows normal signal in this region. Less likely in the differential would include a subacute to chronic ischemic infarction with enhancement of the brain parenchyma in this region or other etiology such as tumefactive MS. Close clinical correlation and follow-up recommended. No other areas of abnormal enhancement is identified. No other areas of edema are noted. No mass effect or midline shift is seen.
Impressions: Focus of abnormal enhancement involving the right insular ribbon with vasogenic edema in this region extending into the right middle temporal lobe. Differential considerations would include neoplastic focus (Metastatic disease or primary neoplasm).Of note the different sequence shows subtle increased signal in this region and less likely in the differential would include a subacute ischemic infraction and enhancement of the brain parenchyma or the demyelinating process such as tumefactive MS.This is dated 12/21/2016 1030 am
In your expertise, what should the next step be?
Neurologist
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
The MRI scan does not confirm that there is a tumor growing, it has put tumor as one of the possibilities.
So I suggest you to get a Neurologist opinion in the place. There can be other infections and low blood supply causes which also pick this picture on the MRI scan.
So you need a confirmation before you proceed with a treatment plan. Always the treatment plan should focus on eliminating the symptoms as well as the cause of symptoms.
You should discuss with Neurologist and Neurosurgeon.
