Hi! Welcome to health care magic! Thanks for sharing your concerns with us. We will try to help you in best way possible.
First of all, it is sad to know what you had gone through. Based on the history you have shared, it seems as if your shortness of breath and difficulty breathing is not only due to asthma because spirometry is not that bad, then some other disease may be adding up into your symptoms. to start with, you need to visit your GP to get your chest examined for any signs of wheeze or crepitation in your chest. A Xray chest may also be needed to support that. If their is hint of any infective or allergic exacerbation of asthma is noted then you may be need some antibiotics as well as additional steroid inhalers alongwith ventolin. A EKG and Echo cardiogram may also be needed to assess any heart functional abnormality and blood screens to look for anemia. Hope this all will lead your GP to come up with some solution. Wishing you a speedy recovery. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask. Regards.
