Brief Answer:
Hi and welcome to HCm

Detailed Answer:
Broken toes in most cases heal without complications. Only in serious muluphragment fractures, some conequances can be expected and surgery is rarely indicated. In some people who are diabetic or osteoporotic, some slower healing is excpected. in healthy people, healing may last up to 8 weeks. Pain may be felt for up to 2 weeks, and if this persist after it, then xray should be repeated. It may show pseudoarhrosis or osteomielitis and these require surgical treatment. But this is rare scenario. More likely. this fracture will heal in short time. just need to rest with toe, take analgesia and have frequent doctors follow ups. Wish you good health. Regards
