Suggest Treatment For Bruise And Knot On Upper Thigh
A hematoma is probably the cause..
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
it seems like you've got a hematoma on the injured area. If it's the first 48-72 hours after the incident, you should put some ice every two hours for about 20 minutes each time. Don't apply the ice directly on the skin. You can wrap it with a towel first.
If the hematoma covers just a very small surface (size of a coin or so) of your leg then you can let it be absorbed over the next couple of weeks. You can help the procedure by using a heparinoid cream which helps dissolve hematomas.
To be more comfortable when laying on the injured area, you can put a circular pillow with a hole in the middle, so that the injured are does not come into contact with the pillow.
Using over the counter analgesics can also help with the pain, but it's better if you could avoid them.
I hope I've helped!
