Suggest Treatment For Bruising On Lower Back After An Accident
May be a hematoma
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query and proper history.
The soft squishy and movable lump below the the graze can be a hematoma as the most probable cause.
You should not be worried if ::
There is no pain
Not increasing in size
No redness over it
The graze and the bruises do not show any signs or symptoms of infection (pain, redness, pus formation, increase in size).
There is no restrictiveness of the movement of the back.
If any of the signs and symptoms are present , the best way is getting examined by a Doctor and get an appropriate treatment. I hope you must be taking something...
Apply liquid Povidone Iodine all over the skin over and around the area to keep the area sterile.
By the way what is the size of the lump ? Any symptoms ?
I hope this answer helps you, please feel free to ask for more if you need to .
Thankyou for your response. There is no swelling, redness or increasing in size. The size has gone down over the last couple days, no pus or anything. About 3/4cm XXXXXXX with no pain atall. No symptoms, I feel fine. its directly below the impact point of graze and slight bruise which would make sense.
I just wanted to check before going into a doctor. I took some anti inflammatory and have been keeping it clean.
If anything occurs I'll be sure to book an appointment.
Does this sound ok?
Sounds absolutely OK !
