Question: Hi Doctor,

11 days ago, (Oct 23rd), I was talking over phone and unknowingly banged my head hard on "No parking" metal signboard on the pedestrian walkway (at the square edge). The hit was on three areas: 1. There was a very small/minor bruise on the middle of my forehead (no bleeding) & 2. diagonal hit on my left side of front top head & 3. a small cut in my upper lip due to the impact with my teeth.

Initially felt a bit scared, due to the sudden impact , but within a minute or two i was fine and walked to my office which was a few hundred metres away & continued my regular work.

I didn't encountered any blackout or loss of consciousness or any major pain thereon. (It is the 11th day today). In these days, i used to get some sore minor pain in the top of my front head, some mild headache on the left side and disorientation/lack of focus.

I am able to continue my regular activities like official work, treadmill in gym and playing table tennis, but not wth 100% efficiency.

1. Since i didn't get any appointment with a neuro within my hospital network, I had gone to a specialist hospital after a week (where i don't have insurance) to consult a neurologist. He examined me and told there is nothing to worry, but to rule out any serious complications, he advised me to get one CT brain done (but, this hospital isn't cocvered in my network and hence i have to spend a huge amount for CT).

2. In the meantime, i got an appointment with a neurologist within my hospital network & he prescribed a muscle relaxant & told CT may not be required.

But, these headaches, dizziness and disorientation is there on and off (especially when i am on my laptop, phone etc) and it makes me worried.

Do i still need to take a CT to rule out anything serious (or) will it settle down on its own.?

P.S: I have this lightheadedness problem for the past 1.5 years on and off. The doctors diagnosed it as vestibular neuritis and the anxiety/panic attacks which followed due to that & hence put me on sertraline 25 mg/day (which i am still continuing).

If it was XXXXXXX i wouldn't have bothered much, since i will have access to any multispeciality hospital anytime. But since i am abroad & not very much comfortable with the hospitals here, thought of getting your advice.

Is there any means by which these headaches, disorientation, dizziness, minor twitch in the eyelid of my right eye etc could subside soon ?

And what is the probability of having a contusion or subdural hematoma, after 10 days of the injury with my current state of symptoms, since people around me scare a hell a lot in me by narrating stories of people who had such injuries & suddenly their health detiorated and even died.
