Suggest Treatment For Bulging Discs At L5-S1 And Headache
Question: Hi, well I have congenital spinal stenosis c-3-c-5 7 mm canal width bulging disc mild cord compression pinched nerve c6 I also have bulging discs at l-5-S1. My neurosurgeon has said there is no reason to do surgery as I'm already receiving injections doing physical therapy and eating healthier to lose some weight as I'm considerably overweight however the first injection lasted about three weeks the lumbar has lasted so far about three weeks but still working as the cervical one has not I'm short of breathe most of the time, and my handwriting has gotten horrible I went to the hospital last night for a severe migraine which radiated up from my neck My neck pops and cracks with just about every turn my last mri was in January . Do you think I should push for a new one? Or are my symptoms just in my head?

Well looking into your problem I Would like to tell you that looking into your history I will go with your treating doctors advise and I also think you should not opt for surgery , till there is any evidence of neural compression . You should continue with your physical therapy .
Plus losing weight is the most important thing that you can do to help yourself as it will relieve the extra weight on spine also.
