Suggest Treatment For Bump On The Forehead Of A Child

Question: My 15 month old hit her forehead on the wall pretty hard a few days ago. She cried, but I was able to distract her easily and she stopped crying after a minute. I immediately noticed a small flat spot over her brow that was not there before. There is no bruising, but it has been three days and I still see a flat spot / dent on her forehead. Should I be worried? Will it go away eventually or is it going to be permanent?

Brief Answer:
It will pass

Detailed Answer:

Hi and welcome to HCM.

Yes, this is probably caused by oedema and traumatic hematoma after such hit. If there was no open wound then no scars will form.

It may take 1-2 weeks till this hematoma is absorbed and then this dent should disappear and skin will look normal again.

Wish you good health.
Regards
