Suggest Treatment For Bump On The Head And Headache Post An Accident
Question: Hi,
I hit my head on a cabinet corner 5 days ago. It was a sore bump on the head the first night, then I woke up okay and it was just tender. Now, 5 days later, it feels strange, a little "tingly" with headache, but I haven't been sick to my stomach, a little "out of sorts" but not dizzy - does this seem like an emergency? I've heard stories of brain bleeds and it makes me nervous...

Nothing serious take treatment as advised
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
The head injury in your case is not severe.
In local tissue injury over scalp, hematoma may develop over scalp which may present as swelling with some associated pain.
Headache after head injury is common and nothing to worry.
Is there any vomiting, seizure, loss of consciousness, visual complains?
You can take pain killers if needed.
Amitryptiline can also be used for few weeks for such mild headache.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
