Detailed Answer: Hi, As I did not receive the photo and the reports of microscopic examination, I would suggest as following: To my opinion, if the doctor prescribed solution containing nystatin, it might be because microscopic examination had reported fungal infection. If such combination resulted non effective, you can discuss with your doctor to start another therapy with Terbinafin or Clotrimazole solution depending on the microscopic test results. I usually prescribe to my patients with such problems as yours, a combination of Clotrimazole and corticosteroid drug. If fungal infection is confirmed, can discuss with your doctor to start also oral anti-fungal medications (terbinafin, or fluconazole).
