Suggest Treatment For Burning Mouth Syndrome
Question: Have had Burning Mouth Syndrome for 5 years. Have tried everything for many years . No relief ! Someone told me to try Prednizone. Any results known?

Hello XXXX.First of all thanks for approaching Healthcare magic for your query. I read through your query and I must say that nothing to be worried in this situation. Before answering your query I wanted to know few things about your oral cavity so that we can reach a proper treatment. The things I wanted to know are:
Do you wear a denture?
Do you take any medication for any other disease?
Do you eat lot of spicy food?
please send images of your upper(palatal) part of your oral cavity and also lower(tongue) portion!!!
And I would tell that burning mouth syndrome is due to mostly stressfull condition and also various other causes.Prednizone is a corticosteroid which reduces immunity. If it was to my parent I would not suggest this medication.At this age already immunty will be reduced along with that a immunosuppressive drug means it will be very bad for health(in my view). To reach a proper treatment I would like to have answers for the questions I asked.Hope you have understood what I meant.Please reply as early as possible.Have a healthy day!!!
