Suggest Treatment For Burning Sensation In Legs

Question: Hello. I am a 78 year old woman in good health. At night my legs burn and wake me up. I have tried ice and that helps for awhile but they start to burn again. What do you think causes this? Thank you for your help.
Brief Answer:
Vitamin deficiency like B12 and B6 can give this.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Vitamin B12 or B6 deficiency can give this. In such case taking supplements of these will be helpful. You can also check the blood levels of these vitamins.
Diabetics are more prone to get such symptoms due to neuropathy. Check your blood sugar levels also. Urea and creatinine levels of blood should be checked to know the kidney function also.
If these are clear then blood circulation of leg should be checked by doppler examination to rule out problems with blood supply.
Hope this may help you. Let me now if anything not clear.
Thanks.
