Suggest Treatment For Burning Sensation In The Anus Caused By Fissures

Question: I noticed some fine red lines in my stool yesterday. This colouring did not affect the water in the toilet and I had a burning sensation for awhile after passing the stool. I had eaten blueberries and raw tomatoes the night before. What is your prognosis.
Brief Answer:
Likely to be tiny fissures in the anal canal
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome and thanks for your query.
You are likely to have fissures in your anal canal and this produces little blood streaking on the motion especially if the stools are hard.
You can eat more fruits and vegetables and drink plenty of fluids to keep the stools consistency soft so that it does not injure the passage. You can also apply local creams containing small amounts of a local anesthetic to remove the burning pain.
If these measures are not helpful, it would be better to see a doctor and have yourself examined.
Take care.
