Question: I have sever burning in my left knee and surrounding knee area following 'total knee replacement seven weeks ago. Everything else is normal, walking, bending, and flex are normal. What the heck is going on?
Brief Answer:
Following recommendations for knee inflammation
Detailed Answer:
Hi my dear,
I can understand your concern.
The burning feeling around your knee area 7 weeks after total knee replacement surgery is suggestive for possible knee inflammation.
Perhaps you've overpass with knee movements. I'd advise to apply ice packs locally and analgesic cream (eg. Diclofenac).
You can take oral pain-killers (along with Aleve, add Tylenol in alternate dosage) to reduce inflammation.
Further consultation with orthopaedic surgeon is recommended together with repeat X-ray examination of the knee.
Wish you a fast recovery. Let me know if I can assist you further.
