Brief Answer:
Problem in GI tract[esophagitis]

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your question on HCM

I do understand your concern

With such a presentation in my clinic, I would first rule out [esophagitis] and to confirm diagnosis you need one [endoscopy]and it will confirm your under laying pathological disorders. Regarding treatment you may be advised prescription medication like [pantoprazole] and [baclofen].

You need few preventive steps like this :-

1)Try to avoid alcohol, caffeine, chocolate and mint flavored foods

2)Always take plenty of water while taking pills and do not lie down at least 30 mins after taking any pills

3)Try to avoid unnecessary painkillers

4)If you are over weight try to reduce your weight

5)Try to avoid smoking

6)Do not bend soon after eating

7)wait for 3 hours before going to bed at night

8)Raise the head of your bed to 15 cm

Hope that helps and after endoscopy you will be given any specific treatments and regarding your BP it is normal for your age.

My normal blood pressure runs from around 100/65 to 115/72. I can't ever remember it being over 130/80. I just took it again and it was 152/79. The feeling comes in waves from mid abdomen up to my throat now. It's followed by a momentary headache and sometimes burping. Just want to make sure I've given you all the information you need.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your quick follow up reply

“As” per your reply your blood pressure is normal and your problem is not due to blood pressure so discuss with your family doctor about my suggestion and if he agrees then do one endoscopy which will clarify all your doubts as well as under laying pathology.

Thanks
