Suggest Treatment For Calcified Hematoma On Thigh

Question: I have a calcified hematoma on my thigh just above my left kneecap with the approximate depth I estimate of a quart of an inch that was caused by a hard tennis overhead shot that hit me there. It is about the width of a nickel and has been with me for about nine months. Should I have some ultra sound treatments to get rid of it, or surgery that gives me the advantage of getting a biopsy done and analyzed by a pathologist during the surgery to determine whether it is benign or malignant that is accompanied by the risk of having a heart attack from undergoing a local anesthetic on the spot where the hematoma would be removed.

Dear patient.
Greetings from health care magic!!! I am Dr Thakker and shall be answering your question.
I would recommend that you have an ultrasound of the thigh region to first know the details of the lesion, nature, depth and size. the second step would be to excise it by surgery. local anaesthesia is not a high risk for heart and you can get it done without much worry.
Ultrasound will just be a diagnostic aid, ultrasound treatments wont help much in this situation.
I hope this helps you out. If you have any more questions, please do not hesitate to write back to me.
Yours sincerely,
Dr Thakker.
