Since your mother is symptomatic, repeat Gallium scan to check recurrence of tumor. If there is tumor on Gallium scan, next step would be to determine its resectability.If it is resectable, she needs to undergo resection. This would relieve her of her symptoms.
If there is tumor on Gallium scan and if the tumor is not resectable, then she needs medical treatment. Octreotide is the drug which would relieve her of the symptoms and also halts further growth of tumor to a certain extent. All her symptoms can be relieved with Octreotide and supportive medication. The patient will lead a complete normal life without any suffering.
