Question: My mother is experiencing drainage or seepage of clear fluid from her leg. There is no open wound/sore. She said her leg was swollen yesterday but the swelling has abated. Is this something that needs immediate attention?

As per your description, it looks like Cellulitis,infection of the skin and subcutaneous tissue of the lower limb.
Initially, there will be swelling with discharge of clear fluid.Later redness,blebs, fever will follow .
It requires immediate attention.
I prescribe Antibiotic Linezolid 600mg twice daily and anti inflammatory tablet to my patients with similar complaints.
