I have noted your diagnosis and current symptoms.

I agree with you that balance and inco-ordination problems can be explained on the basis of cerebellar ataxia, however, loss of muscle strength is unrelated to cerebelar ataxia.

You need to be evaluated- neurological examination, nerve conduction studies/electromyography, Blood tests such as serum CPK- to ascertain the cause of muscle weakness.
